BARISAN'S FRESH - LOOKING LINE-UP WILL APPEAL TO THE YOUTH - GE15

KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA: Barisan Nasional's candidates for the 15th General Election (GE15) shows their commitment to make them more appealing to the youth, says UMNO information chief Shahril Hamdan.


" It proves we are committed towards what we say we can fulfil," he told reporters at the sidelines of the announcement of Barisan candidates at WTC Kuala Lumpur here on Tuesday, November 01, 2022 night.

 

He also said he hoped that the people would place their trust in Barisan's election manifesto when it is unveiled.

 

On the big names dropped, Shahril said the party's agenda takes precedence and those choose were elevated through the support of the party.

 

Commenting on former Ketereh MP Tan Sri Annuar Musa, Shahril said he was confident that Annuar was magnanimous enough to accept it.

 

Shahril, who will be contesting the Alor Gajah seat.

 

Apart from Annuar, Arau MP Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim, Datuk Halimah Mohamed Sadique (Kota Tinggi), Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba (Tenggara), Tan Sri Noh Omar (Tanjung Karang) and Datuk Zahidi ABidin (Padang Besar) were among the list of ministers and deputy ministers who were not named as candidates.
