NAGOYA AND TOKYO BULLET TRAIN SERVICE TO RESUME NORMAL SCHEDULE - TOKYO JAPAN
Shinkansen bullet train services between Tokyo and Nagoya resumed normally from the first runs Saturday, the operator said, following a suspension due to the approach of a powerful typhoon.
JR Central Railway also said it will run extra trains between Tokyo and Shin-Osaka on its Tokaido Shinkansen Line in the morning, apparently to cope with the high volume of passengers at the end of the Bon summer holidays in Japan.
The company canceled all bullet trains between Tokyo and Nagoya, one of the busiest sections of the country's high-speed train services, on Friday due to concerns about heavy rains and strong winds caused by Typhoon Ampil.
