CHILD ABUSE SUPPORT WORKER ARRESTED OVER ALLEGED SEX ACTS WITH 15-YEAR-OLD BOY

NAGOYA

Police in Nagoya have arrested a 55-year-old child abuse support worker on suspicion of committing indecent acts with a 15-year-old boy.

According to police, Makoto Tosaki, who works in the Welfare and Children's Division of Midori Ward, met the boy through a social networking site in early August and invited him to his home on Aug 5, Sankei Shimbun reported. He is accused of performing lewd acts with the boy, knowing he was under the age of 16.

The incident came to light on Aug 20 when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, a non-profit organization in the United States, contacted the National Police Agency and reported that Tosaki's social media posts contained content related to the sexual exploitation of children.

Police said Tasaki has admitted to the allegation and quoted him as saying, “I like young boys around junior high or high school age, and I did it to satisfy my sexual desires."
