FIRE RAZES ABOUT 10-DOOR WORKER'S DORMITORY IN TATAU, BINTULU, NO INJURIES REPORTED

BINTULU (JANUARY 16,2025): A 10-door workers’ dormitory at Ladang Semanok in Tatau was completely destroyed in a fire last night.

Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said they received a call about the incident at 11.46pm and firefighters from the Tatau fire station were despatched to the scene.

“Upon arrival, it was found that the fire had completely destroyed the non-permanent 10-door dormitory.

“However, no injuries were reported among the 20 occupants, comprising 15 adults (eight males and seven females)  and five children (two males and three females),” it added.

Bomba said the firefighters proceeded to extinguish the fire and managed to put it under control at 12.46am.

The firefighters ended the operation at 1.55am after ensuring that the situation was under control and there were no remnants of fire at the scene.
