LAWAS SARAWAK WATER SUPPLY DISTRUPTION SCHEDULED FOR MARCH 20 - 26, 2025

MIRI (March 19, 2025): All areas in Lawas, except Jalan Punang, Kuala Lawas, and Merapok, will experience water supply disruption from 8am tomorrow (March 20) until March 26.

In a notice posted on its Facebook page yesterday, the Rural Water Supply Department (JBALB) Limbang division explained that the disruption is due to cleaning and maintenance work on the ‘Sedimentation No. 1 and Flocculation Tank’ at the Trusan regional water treatment plant.

It stated that during this period, the water treatment process will operate at half its capacity.

“Areas situated on higher ground are expected to experience low water pressure. Consumers are advised to store sufficient water supply for their needs throughout the disruption,” it said.

JBALB Limbang assured that efforts will be made to restore the water supply promptly, with affected areas receiving water in stages.
